Deal of the Day: great value Dacia Sandero gets yet more value at £166 a month

Our Deal of the Day for 2 November is a £166 a month PCP on a dual-fuel Dacia Sandero

  • £166 a month and a £1,923 deposit
  • Bi-Fuel engine runs on LPG or petrol
  • Spacious, good quality supermini

The Dacia Sandero has become synonymous with great value over the years. The second generation model famously reigned as the UK’s cheapest car for a long time and the new Sandero brought a major bump in quality while remaining there or thereabouts on price. Now Dacia is turning up the value wick once again with an eye-catching PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) deal on its low-cost supermini.

Today’s Deal of the Day is on the Sandero Essential with the intriguing TCe 100 Bi-Fuel engine. This is a car that can run on petrol but has an auxiliary tank for LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) installed, too. LPG is up to 40% cheaper than petrol, if you can find a filling station that has it, so there’s big potential to save more money even beyond the attractive finance offer. Dacia calculates that a driver doing 40 miles per day can save just under £300 a year by running on LPG rather than petrol in the Sandero.

Dacia also claims LPG brings a 10% power boost and a 60% increase in driving range, the latter achieved because a control in the cabin lets the driver switch between the LPG and petrol tanks as required. The LPG tank doesn’t reduce boot space, either.

To get your hands on the Dacia Sandero Essential TCe 100 Bi-Fuel, you’ll need a £1,923 deposit, plus the means to make 49 monthly payments of £166. At the end of the deal, there’s an optional final payment of £6,426 needed to own the car outright, or you can just hand it back and use any equity as a deposit on another car. The mileage limit is 6,000 miles.

Unlike its predecessor this latest Dacia Sandero in no way feels built down to a price. The cabin quality and driving experience are competitive with the big names in the supermini class. Essential trim is the entry-level option in the range and equipment levels aren’t the most luxurious you’ll encounter but you do get air-conditioning, cruise control and smartphone connectivity.

As usual with our Deals of the Day, this deal is chosen by our experts because it’s a great offer on a car we’re happy to recommend. Terms and conditions will apply and deals are always subject to change.
