McLaren Special Operations 570GT MSO Black Collection launched

McLaren adds to its sports series offering with the 570GT MSO Black Collection, limited production to just 100 cars worldwide.

The bespoke styling division of McLaren Automotive, McLaren Special Operations (MSO), has extended its sports series product offering by launching the 570GT MSO Black Collection. The supercar is priced at £179,950, with a limited production of 100 models being sold globally.

The McLaren 570GT MSO Black Collection’s exterior is finished with carbon black paint, which has been developed specifically by MSO. It also boasts black detailing on the front and rear splitters, side skirts and air intakes. The wheels are 5 Twin-Spoke Lightweight items with Pirelli P Zero tyres and carbon ceramic brakes with black calipers.

• Long term test review: McLaren 570GT

The 570GT MSO Black Collection has a titanium super sports exhaust and a dynamic handling package to reinforce its sportiness, giving it the sharper dynamic settings of the 570S Coupe and Spider. The exhaust system reduces the weight of the vehicle by five kilograms and provides a ‘crisper exhaust tone’, which is apparently louder than the car’s the standard system.

The interior has a new sleek MSO Black Collection trim, a mix of jet-black leather with Alcantara in carbon black. The latter makes appearances throughout the car, from the steering wheel to the lower instrumental panel. The 570GT MSO Black Collection also has heated memory sports seats with the McLaren Special Operations logo embroidered onto the headrests, in addition to the bespoke dedication plate located under the centre console.

The in-car tech has also been upgraded, including rear view camera, power adjust steering column and Bowers & Wilkins audio system. Customers should expect deliveries this summer.

For an additional £4,750, customers can buy an electrochromic roof, allowing you to select from five different degrees of tint. The panoramic roof incorporates UV-filtering black privacy tint glass does come as standard though.
