Ssangyong tivoli LE special ed

Ssangyong has launched a special edition variant of the Tivoli, exclusively for UK customers. Called the Tivoli LE, it builds on the specification of the mid-range ELX model with some additional styling and equipment tweaks. Prices start from £17,745 for the petrol powered manual, climbing to £20,245 for the diesel powered automatic option.

Upgrades over the Tivoli ELX include a set of black, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, power folding wing mirrors and a tailgate spoiler. Ssangyong also offers the Tivoli LE with a new ‘Orange Pop’ paint finish and a contrasting black roof, while the standard car’s metallic paint finishes are available as a no-cost option.

Two engines are available, with buyers given the choice of a 128bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol or a 113bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel. Both engines can be had with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. When mated to the manual, the petrol returns economy figures of 38.2mpg, while the diesel musters 54.3mpg.

Standard equipment includes a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a multifunction steering wheel, a reversing camera and rear privacy glass. The LE’s safety kit is equally comprehensive, stretching to autonomous emergency braking, a forward collision warning system and active rollover protection.
