New Volkswagen T-Roc Match serves up extra value at a tempting price

The Volkswagen T-Roc now has a choice of four trim levels, with Match costing from £32,135

The Volkswagen T-Roc has been a major sales success for VW, and despite the second-generation compact SUV only going on sale earlier this year, the German brand has just introduced a new Match trim level boost value for money.

The Volkswagen T-Roc already had a generous equipment list as standard, but this new Match trim level takes things up a notch, providing more kit and enhanced features. Sitting above the entry-level Life variants, Match models come with 18-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, VW’s Digital Cockpit Pro, IDA voice assistant, a navigation system, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

The best part about the new Match trim level is that it only costs an additional £500 over the existing Life model, with prices starting from £32,135. Given the extra equipment, it makes the upgrade from a Life model look highly attractive.

Powering the T-Roc Match is VW’s 1.5-litre eTSI mild-hybrid engine and it can be ordered in two power outputs: 115bhp or a punchier 148bhp. Both options are paired to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox

VW claims the T-Roc can return up to 50.7mpg or 50.4mpg respectively, and in our experience these MPG figures should be easy to match in ideal conditions. A new full hybrid powertrain is also set to join the ranks in the future and will help cut running costs further.

Orders for the Volkswagen T-Roc Match open on 13 August, with VW offering zero-per cent APR finance on all T-Roc variants until 30 September. You can currently save up to £3,248 on the list price of a brand new T-Roc through the Auto Express Buy a Car service.
