VW Transporter Sportline brings sporty style and extra kit to van land

Volkswagen adds Sportline trim to latest T6 Transporter kombi, priced from £36,295 with BiTDI diesel

Vans aren't usually known for their sporty looks but that hasn't stopped Volkswagen adding a hint of menace to the T6 Transporter with a new Sportline trim. It receives upgraded styling and extra equipment, and is on sale now from £36,295.

The Transporter's new Sportline trim level is only available on the T32 kombi passenger van, but it's set to arrive on more variants later this year. Exterior upgrades include 18-inch bi-colour alloy wheels, deep front and rear spoilers, lowered suspension, styling bars with puddle lights and carbon-fibre mirror caps.

The Transporter Sportline will be first available with the 177bhp 2.0-litre BiTDI diesel engine mated to a seven-speed DSG gearbox. Later this year more wheelbase and transmission options will be available, plus a panel van version, for delivery in early 2017.
