551.4 MPG is a deal breaker for me..now 551.9 would have been a different story.

Nice but...

... All the taxi drivers 'round here drive Octavias! The good news: if cabbies drive them, then they're reliable. Bad news: I don't want to be flagged down by drunks every weekend night!

what a bargain

for under £11k its a bargain, for a car thats based on a golf and yet costs the same as a smaller lower spec polo.Seat are doing a great deal on the Ibiza at £9995 but this is so much more car and only for an extra £1000.Most companies do cheap deals every now and then and your lucky if you get electric windows or Air Con.

That is a bargain!
I drive the Scout 4x4 Estate and am amazed at the amount of space inside, even the hatch has plenty.
At least with the Scout I don't get mistaken for a taxi.

Well done Skoda!

An absolute bargain - worth every penny.

Hyundai and Kia are better

Terrible MPG for moderate perfomance and very high Co2 levels. Hyundai i30 or Kia Cee'd with 1.4 engines will have similar performance and do around 20% better MPG, while the tax amd most likely insurnace will be cheaper. You'll have warranty left after 3 years too.
