This blurry image is from an official teaser video for the new Skoda Octavia. And while you can’t make out too much from the picture, the styling clearly won’t be revolutionary.
Even so, the Octavia will retain its focus on practicality, with a 590-litre boot – 210 litres bigger than the VW Golf MkVII. The car is expected to get the same range of efficient engines and gearboxes as the new SEAT Leon, plus less sophisticated suspension on lower-powered models.
The Octavia hatchback goes on sale in the UK in March, with prices starting from around £14,000. An estate follows in May, while the hot vRS is due in showrooms here in July.

Wonder what this will mean happens to the Superb, will it grow to be the size of a 7-series at the next refresh? Skoda's range starting to get a bit out of sync IMO with this and the new Rapid, reminds me of Volvo a few years ago when they had the old S40, S60 and S80 all over-lapping classes.
I was told by a salesman that the next Superb will indeed be bigger than the present one! If I become a taxi driver....???
