Skoda has announced the latest addition to the efficient GreenLine range – the Octavia GreenLine – will be priced from £20,150. This uber-efficient model is fitted with a host of eco-technologies, helping increase economy and reduce CO2 output.
It’s powered by a 108bhp version of the 1.6-litre TDI diesel engine currently offered in the Octavia range but features a Stop-Start system, regenerative braking along with low rolling resistance tyres to help boost efficiency. Skoda claims economy of 88.3mpg – up from 64.2mpg in the last-gen model – with CO2 emissions of only 85g/km. Theoretically, the Octavia GreenLine has a range of almost 1000 miles on a single tank of diesel.
It’s also likely to a big hit with company car buyers, as it has been awarded a BiK rating of 13% for 2014.
The GreenLine model is marked out from the rest of the range with subtle GreenLine badging on the front grille and rear of the car. Standard kit includes 16-inch alloy wheels, cornering front fog lights, a touchscreen infotainment system and DAB radio.
Sales are currently underway, with the rest of the Octavia range priced from £15,990.
