RAC 5000

Halfords sells this widescreen sat-nav for a bargain price. It doesn’t have European maps, and the touchscreen isn’t as bright as others here. However, the RAC 5000 is simple to use and found most of our destinations, despite not having Google Search. It also managed to reroute us twice as fast as the similarly priced Mio Ezy Wide. The mount is better than the Mio’s, too, but the Garmin and TomTom devices are far superior in every area – rerouting more quickly, offering clearer maps and including live traffic.
