TomTom GO LIVE 825

Price: £229.99 Contact: 0845 161 0009, www.tomtom.com

Recommended: ALthough TomTom will be disappointed with second place here, the GO LIVE 825 is still a brilliant sat-nav. The five-inch device has all our preferred features – European maps, Bluetooth, free live traffic for a year (after which it’s £47.50 annually) and speed camera data – plus the menu is easy to use. Also, the traffic notifications are simpler to understand than on the 1695, and just as accurate. However, we prefer the less fiddly ball-and-socket mount of the Garmin to the 825’s integrated suction cup mount, and the TomTom is £30 more expensive to buy.
