These mats are mostly made of deep-pile carpet – only the driver’s side mat features a rubber section. This means there are no sections to trap dirt, and you can’t cut the mats to fit your footwell – we struggled to get a safe fit in our small car.

The rear mats are tiny, too, which is disappointing as this was the most expensive set on test.
