Fifth place looks somewhat average, but the top five tyres all score highly and the Nokian took two outright wins and a second place. It prioritises cold wet surfaces over the others, though its snow results are better than the placings would suggest. Seventh in snow braking looks a little weak, but the Nokian wasn’t far behind the best. The same goes for the traction test, and around the snow lap it was a mere tenth of a second off third place and was remarkably biddable, finding the perfect lines if you gave it a moment to rotate off-throttle on turn-in. 

The highlight of its performance in the wet were table-topping results in both aquaplaning tests where it was a strong winner. Fourth in the key wet braking test, taking 1.5m longer to stop than the best, was bolstered by second on the wet circle and fourth around the wet lap. It seemed to grip as well as the best, but it was easy to overdo it, costing it a little time. 

Seventh in dry braking and eighth around the turns of the dry handling circuit look off the pace, but they are closely contested tests and the Nokian adds a useful fourth in rolling resistance to an impressive set of results.
