Jaguar F-Type 75 special edition revealed

Jaguar is signing off its F-Type sports car with a special ‘75’ edition

Jaguar is preparing to go fully electric from 2025 and its F-Type sports car has just one year left before making way for a new range of luxury EV models. The British firm has now revealed its final update of the car rolled into a flagship model called the F-Type 75.

Designed as an homage to 75 years of Jaguar sports car production, the F-Type 75 variants receive bespoke gloss black 20-inch wheels, a Giola Green paint finish, ‘75’ badging, performance seats and blacked out ‘R’ badging on the top-of-the-range R model.

The F-Type 75 and more powerful F-Type R 75 editions stick with Jaguar’s existing 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, producing 444bhp and 567bhp respectively. The lower-powered model can be had either in all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive form, with both variants offering a 0-60mph time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 177mph. The more powerful F-Type R 75 is all-wheel drive only and can go from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, topping out at 186mph. Every F-Type model comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The F-Type R 75 can be optioned with Jaguar’s carbon ceramic brakes, with 398mm discs at the front and 380mm at the rear. Six-piston calipers feature at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear - finished in yellow.

Beneath the aluminium body you’ll find double wishbone front and rear suspension, torque vectoring and an electronic rear differential. Continuously-variable damping is also standard on the 75 models.

The F-Type 75 can be specified in coupe or convertible body styles. The rear-wheel drive coupe starts from £78,330 and the range tops out with the £108,065 F-Type R 75 AWD convertible. Jaguar says first customer deliveries should begin from January 2023.
