TomTom Start 60 Europe

This has the largest screen of TomTom’s entry-level Start sat-navs, and it’s easy to enter postcodes on the bright, responsive six-inch display. The screen auto rotates, so you can mount the device on a flat dash or the windscreen. Plus, even though the Start 60 is one of the more basic TomToms, it also includes lane guidance. There’s the same twist and click mount as on the Via 135, and the Start 60 is just as easy to use. But again, there are no traffic notifications – you have to spend £50 more to get an RDS-TMC receiver, which takes the total to £219.94. The Garmin has live traffic for £200.
