These are the best shots yet of the facelifted BMW 3-Series, which is set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October.

Underneath a disguise so revealing it's almost pointless, our pictures show the refreshed junior executive is sporting a revised front bumper - incorporating modified foglights - and a distinct pair of new swage lines running up the bonnet.

Most noteable, however, are new wing mirrors which now house indicators. Changes to the rest of the exterior are more subtle, including slightly revised sideskirts, tail lights and a new rear bumper.

A mild cabin revision is expected too, majoring on new trim and colour options rather than wholesale interior changes. And, of course, BMW's 'efficient dynamics' programme will ensure that the 3-Series' updated engine range will puff out as little CO2 as possible.
