THE arrival of the A1 marked the smallest chapter yet in the long-running battle for premium car supremacy between Audi and BMW. We got behind the wheel of the long-awaited new supermini in Issue 1,120, and were immediately impressed by its stunning interior build quality. Out on the open road, the A1 backed this up by offering a grown-up driving experience, and also scored with its strong green credentials, while its understated good looks completed a brilliant package.
