In Issue 1,134, we were among the first to get our hands on a car that shares much with the forthcoming Focus, and were amazed by its comfortable yet controlled ride, superb new interior and engaging dynamics – let alone the massive practicality offered by the new seven-seat Grand version.

This is an MPV that could put some hot hatches in the shade for entertainment, thanks in part to the punchy new EcoBoost petrol engine. Our only real reservation is the high price. Apart from that, it’s a winner.
