Citroen DS3

We visited french shores to see if DS3 is as fun and fashionable as its famous fifties’ forbear

Citroen DS3

French giant Citroen showed just how serious it was about stealing the MINI’s crown when it launched the neat DS3. The newcomer is chic, sporty and provides huge scope for personalisation – and as soon as we took the wheel in Issue 1,099, we knew it would be a hit. Not only does it pay tribute to the legendary DS, it also points the way to the future of Citroen design – and it fulfils both briefs with its classy styling and strong driver appeal. The order books are full as the DS3 already begins to erode the MINI’s 10-year reign.
