New 2023 Ford Tourneo Custom: pricing and specifications

The new Tourneo Custom van-based MPV comes with up to nine seats

With car-like driving dynamics and technology, plus oodles of practicality, the Ford Tourneo Custom has long been one of our favourite minibuses and now there’s an all-new version.

The new Tourneo Custom is priced from £53,581 in eight-seat 320 L1 form but can seat up to nine people with an optional extra seat in the front. The long-wheelbase 320 L2 kicks off at £54,421.

A plug-in hybrid and a fully-electric e-Tourneo Custom will join the lineup later on, but for now there’s a selection of 2.0-litre diesel engines with power outputs ranging from 136bhp to 150bhp and 170bhp. A six-speed manual gearbox is offered on the 136bhp and 150bhp and there’s also an eight-speed automatic available for the 136bhp and 170bhp iterations. Should you wish to add a limited-slip differential on your manual Tourneo Custom, Ford will include this for £1,680. Fuel efficiency for the smaller L1 bodystyle is from 38.2mpg whereas the larger L2 sees this drop to 37.7mpg.

Just two trim levels are available, Zetec and Titanium (although we expect to see Titanium X, Active and Sport join soon). As standard, Zetec features dual side loading doors, a lift up tailgate, LED headlights, power-folding mirrors, automatic air conditioning, a new 13-inch touchscreen with the latest Ford SYNC4 infotainment, Ford’s ‘Sensico’ faux leather steering wheel and a 5G modem. A heated steering wheel is a £180 optional extra on the Zetec.

The Titanium trim level commands a £2,400 premium but it adds 19-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, a new grille design, comfort seats, climate controls for the rear seats and body-coloured bumpers.
