Rugged i20 Active hatch starts from £15,225, rest of the i20 range gets new 1.0-litre turbo petrol
Hyundai has announced full pricing and spec details for its 2016 i20 range, including prices for its chunky i20 Active hatch. The Active will be priced from £15,225, while the rest of the range can benefit from the new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine from £14,025.
Billed as a more upmarket Dacia Sandero Stepway rival, the i20 Active is already on sale as the i20 Cross over in India. It's single trim level gets kit including 17-inch alloys, LED daytime running lights, a DAB radio and rear parking sensors.
The i20 Active is only available with Hyundai's all-new 99bhp three-cylinder 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which replaces the outgoing 99bhp 1.4-litre naturally-aspirated unit across the supermini range. In the Active, it claims 58.9mpg combined and emits 110g/km of CO2.
