New Jeep Compass pricing and specification released

Jeep’s new SUV is on sale now from £22,995 with deliveries starting next February

Jeep has announced pricing for its new Skoda Karoq rival, the Compass SUV, will start from £22,995. Prices rise to £35,595 for top spec models.

The Compass line-up includes two petrol and three diesel engines, with front-wheel drive available on selected models. The range kicks off with entry-level Sport trim, which is only available with the 118bhp 1.6-litre Multijet diesel. Standard equipment on Sport models includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, forward collision warning and cruise control.

For an extra £2,000 customers can opt for the Longitude trim, which also includes more engine options: a 118bhp 1.6-litre diesel, 138bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel with four-wheel drive diesel. In Longitude trim, standard kit also includes 17-inch alloys, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, an 8.4-inch infotainment system and keyless entry.

Limited spec models start from £27,995 and feature larger 18-inch alloys, heated seats, blind spot detection and park assist. A nine-speed automatic gearbox is available on Limited models, but only on the more powerful 168bhp versions of the 1.4-litre turbo and 2.0-litre diesel. They’re priced from £32,595 and £35,595 respectively.

Topping the range at £35,595 is the Trailhawk model, which is only offered with the 168bhp 2.0-litre diesel. It comes as standard with a low range gearbox, raised off-road suspension, front and rear skid plates and hill descent, however, it doesn’t arrive in the UK until next summer.

The Compass is also the first model from Jeep to feature the brand’s new Uconnect entertainment and navigation system. A raft of safety tech such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and a reversing camera contributed to the Compass’ five-star EURO NCAP rating

Available to order now, first customers can expect to take delivery in February.
