Skoda reveals new Kodiaq and Kamiq trims with more kit and better value

Skoda has reshuffled the Kodiaq and Kamiq line-ups for 2022, bringing more standard equipment and improved value

Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda has given its Kodiaq SUV and smaller Kamiq crossover revised trim structures that bring more standard equipment and added value for 2022.

The Kodiaq is Skoda’s Peugeot 5008-rivalling seven-seater, and the line-up now kicks off with SE Drive trim, which sits below a new SE L Executive model. The rest of the range - topped by the sporty Kodiaq vRS - remains unchanged.

The SE Drive replaces the SE version as the most affordable Kodiaq, with prices starting from £30,415. It offers more standard kit than before, with grey 18-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable, heated and folding door mirrors and a satellite navigation system with in-built WiFi.

Skoda also provides a year of its Infotainment Online service with the SE Drive, enabling the car to access traffic, weather and news information on the move. Front and rear parking sensors also feature.

The Kodiaq SE can be specified with either a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine or a 2.0-litre diesel, each producing 148bhp. Both engines can be optioned with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox, but only the diesel is available with four-wheel drive.

For £34,275, the new Kodiaq SE L Executive brings additional equipment such as larger 19-inch wheels finished in anthracite, leather upholstery and auto-dimming mirrors. An electrically adjustable driver's seat with memory function, and a rear parking camera, are also standard.

And while a seven-seat arrangement is optional with the Kodiaq SE Drive, it's standard with the SE L Executive. There are also more engine options to choose from, with the addition of a 187bhp 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel producing 197bhp.

Skoda has also given the Kamiq the SE L Executive treatment, replacing the previous SE L model. The SE L Executive receives 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, a rear-view camera and front parking sensors, and is offered with a choice of two petrol engines.

The entry-level unit is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor producing 108bhp, and it sits below a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 148bhp. Each can be specified with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox, with prices for the SE L Executive starting at £24,465.

The new Kodiaq and Kamiq trim grades are available to order now, for delivery later this year.
