PQI mPack P600

Price: £290 Memory: 20GB

Looking like a miniature laptop, the mPack has a foldout four-inch screen with breathtaking resolution. We watched an entire movie on it on one long journey, and it performed faultlessly. The picture quality was stunning; it didn’t break up at all in recording or playback. What’s more, we found the software’s scroll-through functions easy to navigate, while the battery lasted nearly five hours in video playback mode. Sound through the speakers was tinny and slightly disappointing, but was brilliant using the headphones. However, the mPack can’t record direct from a TV, and we found it annoying having to open the case every time we wanted to skip tracks in MP3 playback mode.
