Philips PD7042

Price: £169.99 Style: Dual screen Screen size: 7-inch Contact: 0906 101 0016, www.philips.co.uk

Best Buy: Philips prevented Nextbase from taking our crown again, winning by the slimmest of margins. The secure mounting system clinched victory for the PD7042, as it’s sturdy and well built. The dual-screen system is also great value, undercutting the SDV49-AC by £20, yet it plays media like DivX files, MP3s and pictures on CDs. Both the seven-inch screens are bright and clear, too. Our only criticism is that there are no remote controls, but each mounting arm puts the screen quite close to your face, so it’s not enough of an inconvenience to stop this well priced package winning this test.
