Apple iPad with Griffin CinemaSeat

Price: £329 (iPad); £29.99 (case) Style: Tablet Screen size: 9.7-inch Contact: 0845 600 1683, www.apple.com/uk

Another wildcard entry, the Apple iPad is ideal for parents wanting to keep kids occupied in the car on long journeys. While you can’t plug in media on the go, if you load it up at home, you can watch movies, listen to music, play games and view pictures in the car. The picture was nearly as clear as on the larger Sony, although sound quality was poor – the supplied Apple headphones make this a bit better. If you already have an iPad, the Griffin CinemaSeat is a good way to fix your tablet to the headrest. If you don’t this is a costly option.
