Arkon produced the winner of our previous mobile phone holder test but this version for larger smartphones can’t repeat that success. Its biggest failing is that you need two hands to prise it open and place the phone. The price also does it no favours in this company. It comes with a disc for quick and easy dash mounting, plus a long hinged arm and ball socket gives plenty of adjustment. There was a little movement on our bumpy test route, but it worked fine on normal surfaces.
