New MINI Sport pack adds JCW hot hatch looks for less

MINI Sport pack brings racy styling additions, extra equipment and sports suspension from £3,300

MINI’s three and five-door hatchback is now available with a new Sport Pack, bringing exclusive styling upgrades inside and out, additional kit and sports suspension on some models. The Sport pack starts from £3,300, and the BMW-owned British brand claims fitting it will increase residual values on its Audi A1 rival.

Adding to existing standard equipment in the Chilli Pack, the Sport pack adds bonnet stripes, 17-inch alloys in silver or black, and a rear spoiler and aero kit borrowed from the hot John Cooper Works model. Sports suspension is specced on all variants except the One and One D.

In the cabin there are new seats with ‘Diamond’ cloth or leather upholstery, a multifunction sports wheel, Anthracite headlining and piano-black trim throughout. New floor mats, JCW sill finishers and  the interior lights pack complete the styling changes.

Extra kit includes dual-zone climate control, rain sensors and auto lights, the MINI ‘Excitement Pack’ and adjustable driving modes. The passenger seat is also height adjustable.

The pack is £3,300 on the Cooper S and SD, but £4,300 on the standard Cooper and £4,500 on the One due to the additional kit changes. But MINI estimates optioning it will add around 25 per cent to residual values over cars without the pack.

That means the MINI range with the Sport Pack starts at £18,250 for the three-door One hatchback with the 99bhp 1.2-litre turbo, rising to £23,350 for the Cooper SD five-door.
