Skoda to release six new models in 2013

Skoda has confirmed it will be unveiling six new models in 2013, with this shot – posted on Skoda’s Facebook page – confirming the Rapid, Octavia hatch and Octavia Estate set to arrive first.

The three mystery models – due to arrive in August, October and December respectively – are thought to be the Octavia vRS and facelifted versions of the Superb and Yeti SUV.

We’ve already seen leaked pictures of the Octavia vRS, which will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 217bhp and a 2.0 TDI variant with 181bhp. Skoda is likely to give buyers the choice of hatchback or estate versions of the vRS.

When it comes to the Superb and Yeti, we’re expecting to see new engines, subtly updated styling and some improved technology, too, like blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.
