It's not the sleekest SUV around, but the CR-V still posts a strong performance. Eighth place for practicality shows this is one seriously versatile family tool.

However, it seems drivers aren’t so happy behind the wheel, as average rankings for handling, performance and braking could be better.

Bosses will be concerned to see Honda drop two places in the manufacturer chart. The Top 100 podium eluded the Accord and Civic, so all hope will rest on the latest Jazz boosting the firm’s ranking next year.

This vehicle has performed much as expected. The mix of economy, space and practicality has been good. The research time that was put in to choosing the vehicle has paid dividends, however newer models do not appeal as much and I'm looking at changing to a different brand, again my research will narrow that down in due course. But for my current vehicle well done Honda.

My Honda CR-V has been a pleasure to drive, it has been everything I wished for. It drives well, the four wheel drive works really well. The mileage I get with it being 4W drive is good at nearly 40 to gallon. An all round great vehicle, I would recommend to anyone who likes this type of car.

Does what it should pretty well.Only slightly ponderous handling and a hint of unease with the brakes detracts from my pleasure.One recall (an ECU related issue) and a detached interior mirror detract from the reliabilty so far.Probably 4 or 4.5 stars!
