If you own a caravan or tow a trailer regularly, you’ll need a tow bar. Specialists are often the first port of call for this practical kit, but makers are increasingly offering their own alternatives.

a manufacturer warranty and usually designed for easy removal and stowage. 

The sight of a tow bar will set alarm bells ringing in a used buyer’s head, though, 

as it hints at extra wear to the clutch, gearbox and brakes.
