For the price, this is an outstanding set-up – especially if you add it as part of the Lux pack. Door speakers are well positioned, with the tweeters angled towards the centre of the car. But what marks this out is really punchy, controlled bass, especially at high volume on fast tracks. Some mid-range sounds blend in too much, but there’s good clarity to the vocals and a natural accuracy to the surround sound. However, the touchscreen interface isn’t the best, and despite auto-correct volume technology the Meridian doesn’t quite compensate for tyre noise as speed increases.
