Nissan Leaf N-Tec joins X-Trail, Qashqai and Micra special editions

Special edition Nissan Leaf N-Tec arrives with dark styling additions and extra kit to join limited edition range

Nissan has introduced a new limited edition N-Tec version of its Leaf electric car that comes hot on the heels of the X-TrailQashqai and Micra N-Tec models announced earlier this year. All the N-Tec badged models are positioned as high-specification versions in their respective model line-ups offering added value to buyers.

The Leaf e+ N-TEC uses a 62kWh battery, develops 214bhp and 340Nm and has up to 239 miles of range (WLTP combined). Nissan quotes 6.9 seconds to 62mph and a top speed of 98mph.

Priced at £32,795 (including the £3,500 Government Grant), the car’s additional equipment includes an LED Pack, LED fog lights with cornering function, ProPILOT with Lane Keep Assist & Traffic Jam Pilot, a metallic blue front splitter and revised e+ suspension.

The Qashqai N-Tec is priced from £26,475, placing it between the N-Connecta and Tekna versions of the firm’s popular crossover. The N-Tec is defined by a new blacked out look, riding on all-black 19-inch wheels and featuring darkened LED headlights as standard.

Inside, the theme continues with black Alcantara seats. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard, as is Nissan ProPILOT semi-autonomous driving assistance and parking assistance.

Similarly, the larger X-Trail N-Tec boasts a darkened look with black alloy wheels, gloss black finish on the roof rails and mirror caps, and a dark-chrome grille.

The door sill protectors gain illuminated N-Tec lettering, while ProPILOT is standard on versions equipped with an automatic gearbox, alongside Nissan’s Safety Shield package consisting of collision avoidance assists. Priced from £30,820, both five and seven-seat N-Tec variants will be offered.

The Micra N-Tec will cost from £16,995 and is based heavily on the Acenta grade version of Nissan’s long-standing Ford Fiesta rival. 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels are fitted alongside additional gloss black exterior detailing.

Tech wise, satellite navigation is standard, as is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Driver assistance features include a reversing camera and rear parking sensors, alongside emergency braking assistance too. All new Nissan N-Tec variants of the  X-TrailQashqai and Micra are on sale now, while the Leaf is available from 31st March.
