New Polestar performance upgrades for Volvo cars

Volvo has announced a new range of sporty Polestar parts for the S60, V40, V60 and XC60

Volvo has revealed a new range of performance parts for its S60, V40, V60 and XC60 models under its recently-aquired Polestar brand. The new kit includes wheels, exhaust, styling details and chassis upgrades.

These new Polestar Performance Parts will be available bundled together as a complete package, or you can choose which parts you want in smaller option packs as well. There's no impact on the Volvo warranty for your car, and since Polestar is now owned by Volvo your dealer will be able to fit the parts for you.

Volvo Polestar: everything you need to know

Polestar's Niels Möller said: "We have received strong feedback over a long period of time from customers all over the world regarding Polestar Performance Parts... This is a product improving on the already strong base of Volvo cars in terms of performance, handling and driving pleasure."

As well as new alloy wheels and sportier exhausts, the Polestar package will also include new pedals, a sportier gearlever, Polestar-branded panels on the sills, a roof-mounted rear wing, a rear diffuser for the S60 and different mirrors for the V40. There's also a sports suspension system, which could improve handling as well.

There are no details on pricing yet, but the upgrades will be available from April this year. The range of cars that the parts are available for will increase as well.

We're also expecting a new range of proper Polestar performance cars using four-cylinder engines, starting with the new S90 and V90. These models will have tuned engines and chassis upgrades to help them compete with the likes of the BMW M5.

Do you own a Volvo that could benefit from a few of these upgrades? Let us know below...
