The Ring RTG2 takes a lot from our winner in terms of design – there’s a pen clip, the markings are the same and the two have a similar price. Plus, both come with detailed instructions and tyre pressure gauges, although the one included with the Ring isn’t digital. It’s slightly trickier to see the legal tread limit on the RTG2 than on the RAC, however, so it comes second.
