Car Deal of the Day: MG ZS gives a taste of SUV life for just £156 a month
The MG ZS offers a lot for family-car buyers, but at a very low price. It’s our Deal of the Day for 3 March.

While there are funkier-looking and more sporting-to-drive small SUVs on sale, few offer exactly what many families need: safe, efficient transport at a bargain price. The MG ZS has long fallen into this category, and, judging by today's deal, offers outstanding value for money.
Through the Auto Express Buy a Car service, Lease Car UK is offering the pint-sized high-rider for £155.99 a month right now. This scintillating two-year deal only requires a 12-month initial payment of £2,219.88, or nine-months at £1,948.38 with monthly payments of £177.82 a month.
Mileage on the 12-month initial payment agreement is capped at 5,000 a year, but this can be revised up to 8,000 for an extra £19.20 a month.
This deal gets you the hybrid model, which has the potential to really slash your running costs. MG claims fuel economy of more than 55mpg on the combined cycle.
Efficient, yes, but sporty to drive maybe not. But that's not really an issue because the ZS is perfectly pleasant behind the wheel. It's easy to drive, comfortable and handles more than reasonably enough.
Of more interest to most buyers is the interior, and, for the price, the ZS impresses. Fit and finish is surprisingly high, there's a good 443-litre boot, and the twin-screen set-up – one for the driver's display and the other a 12.3-inch touchscreen – is smart and easy to use.
You'll be getting the SE model with this deal, and while it may be the entry-level version, it still gets those twin screens, rear parking sensors, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, plus a raft of safety features.
