Skoda's dog accessories help keep man’s best friend safe
New dog products from Skoda include seatbelts and back seat protection
Skoda has released a new range of accessories designed specifically for man’s best friend.
The special goodies join Skoda’s large range of genuine accessories and include solutions to motorists’ common doggy dilemmas including protection mats and liners, a boot grille and even a seat belt to keep dogs safe and secure.
The ‘Dog Safety Belt’ attaches to the backseat belt and stops the dog from flying forwards or moving around. It can even double up as a lead for walking.
In the Citigo and the Superb the ‘Backseat Protection’ is a cover that protects the rear seats from scratching, and stops the seats from having to be vacuumed after every trip. There’s nothing to stop dog dribble being painted all over the passenger windows, however.
The ‘Trunk Grille’, specifically designed for the Fabia and Superb estate, is a vertical guard fitted directly behind the back seat headrest and keeps the dog safely in the boot. Meanwhile the Skoda Rapid, Rapid Spaceback, Yeti, Octavia and Octavia estate can come with a double-sided floor cover with one carpet side and the other a water and dirt resistant side.
So far Skoda has not put a price tag on the doggy-friendly range of extras.
