Aston Martin

Aston delivered the goods with the first moving debut of its Vantage GT12 supercar, driven up the hillclimb by CEO Andy Palmer himself. Tipped as the ultimate version of the current Vantage breed, the 592bhp GT12 is road-legal but track prepared, with 100 units sold out already. We also saw the dramatic Vulcan hypercar concept, a track-only and completely rebodied rendition of the One-77 with over 800bhp and a £1.8million pricetag. As for production models, the new DB9 GT special edition made an appearance.

Audi

The German firm's were making all the right noises at Goodwood, with the all-new R8 V10 firing its engine up and hitting the track in its first UK debut. There was also the new 362bhp RS3 Sportback mega-hatch. The  Q7 SUV was also available to drive on an off-road course, while the R10 Le Mans car is there too.

Bentley

Starring at the Goodwood Festival of Speed was Bentley’s updated Continental GT, challenging its more powerful 6.0-litre W12 twin turbo engine on the hillclimb. With a maximum speed of 197mph and increased output from 567 bhp to 582bhp, the Continental GT’s cylinder deactivation technology even improves its fuel economy by 5%.

Citroen/DS

For the first time at Goodwood there are were separate stands run by Citroen. The newly launched 'DS' marque begins its new solo career as a premium brand, and showcased its new models including the facelifted DS 3 and new DS 5. The chic DS Divine concept was also on the stands, a design study that previews styling for the next generation of DS models.

Ferrari

Goodwood visitors were pleased to see the Ferrari 488 GTB and the fearsomely loud Ferrari FXX K  tackling the 1.6-mile hillclimb.

The 488 GTB is Ferrari’s turbocharged 458 successor, with a mid-mounted 3.9-litre forced induction V8 producing 660bhp with a top speed of 205mph. At the other end of the scale is Ferrari's €2.5m track monster. The FXX K has a V12 engine with an output of 1,036bhp and and F1-inspired hybrid powertrain maximizing its track performance.

Ford

The Blue Oval aimed to impress this year with the first UK introduction of both the new Ford Focus RS and Europe-spec Ford Mustang, and even the Ford GT supercar. The 316bhp, four-wheel drive hot hatch monster used its new 'Drift' mode to full advantage up the hillclimb, while Ford's latest generation of iconic muscle car was a hit with enthusiasts.

Honda

Honda Civic Type R at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015

The Japanese firm played up to hot hatch enthusiasts with the hillclimb debut of its new 306bhp Civic Type R hatch. The all-new Honda Jazz and HR-V small crossover were on the stands, too.

Infiniti

Nissan's luxury brand Infiniti brought along not one, but three showstopping concepts to Goodwood.  on the stands were the Q60 Concept, the stunning Q80 Inspiration coupe, and the QX30 crossover concept that will hit showrooms at the start of 2016.

Jaguar

New Jaguar XF at Goodwood

The big cat made four Goodwood debuts this year. The brand-new XF saloon graced the stands for the first time in the UK, before deliveries are made in the autumn. The recently revealed Jaguar XJ facelift was also on show, alongside the XJR Bloodhound rapid response car and the limited-run F-Type Project 7 production car.

Lotus

Lotus 3-Eleven reveal at Goodwood

Lotus unveiled its brand new 3-Eleven racer at Goodwood for the first time. It's a whole new level of performance for the Norfolk-based firm and its fastest-ever production car, with a 443bhp supercharged V6 and sub-900kg kerbweight. It'll set you back £82,000.

Lexus

Toyota's premium division brought along the brand new GS-F super saloon to the Goodwood Moving Motor Show. It fired up its 470bhp 5.0-litre V8 and tackled the hillclimb, the first time we saw the GS-F on the move since it was revealed at this year's Detroit Motor Show. Mazda

Mazda MX-5 at Goodwood

The world’s best-selling two-seater sports car is now in its fourth generation, and the sharp new model made its UK debut during the Festival of Speed. The new Mazda MX-5 is shorter, lower, wider and lighter (by 100kg) than the current model, and is available to order now with prices starting from £18,495. As well as the new roadster, the 2 supermini and new CX-3 crossover were on show.

Mclaren

McLaren 650S police car

Mclaren’s loudest display at Goodwood was the track-ready P1 GTR hypercar. For the price of £1.9m the hybrid P1 GTR produces 978bhp and weighs 50kg less than the road-going P1. The GTR pushes the standard P1's 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 and electric motor powertrain even further, and is also lower and wider than the road car. We also saw debuts from the new 'entry-level' 570S, and the 666bhp 675LT 'Long-Tail' supercar.

Nissan

Nissan Juke-R Goodwood - front

It's the dawn of the crazy crossover over at Nissan, with the unveiling and hillclimb debut of the bonkers Juke-R 2.0. Like the Juke-R but with the wick turned up even further, the 2.0 gets nearly 600bhp from it's GT-R sourced powertrain and four-wheel drive, all squeezed under the swollen body of a tiny crossover. Like before, a handful will be built by motorsport specialists RML in the UK, but don't expect to get your hands on one for less that £400,000.

Peugeot

Peugeot 308 GTi Goodwood

The French firm orginally promised us "something bigger than usual" at Goodwood and the brand delivered, with the debut of the hot new 308 GTi. With up to 270bhp from a 1.6-litre turbo petrol, the Ford Focus ST rival will go on sale later this year. Also at the show was the 493bhp 308 R-Hybrid and facelifted 208.

Renault

Renault Clio 220 Trophy at Goodwood

Another Gaelic hot hatch that made its first UK appearance was the new Clio 220 Trophy. Fettled further than the standard Clio Renaultsport, it's been lowered, stiffened, sharpened-up and given 20hp extra, while it also gets a higher rev limit and faster steering, while gearchanges from the dual-clutch autobox are said to be up to 50 per cent quicker. The new Alpine coupe concept that we previously saw at Le Mans this year was also on show. It previewed the first production Alpine model due sometime in 2016, and is part of a celebration of 60 years of Alpine racing and production cars.

SEAT

The Spanish outfit debuted the facelifted and fettled version of its Ibiza supermini for the first time in the UK. Alongside this was the two new flagships to the Leon estate range: the rugged X-Perience and Cupra ST hot load-lugger.

Toyota

Toyota GT 86 - All six

Although we didn't see any new models from Toyota this year, the Japanese outfit rolled out the stunning FT-1 sports car concept from 2014.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen Golf R400 at Goodwood

VW pulled out all the stops and made several UK debuts at Goodwood. The striking Sport Coupe GTE concept (that previews a new Passat CC), the radical Ducati-engined XL Sport and Golf R400 concept all made an appearance. The new Polo WRC also tackled the hill.

The Goodwood FoS sculpture

For 18 years we've seen dramatic sculptures from designer Gerry Judah grace the front lawn of Goodwood house, and this year he collaborated with show sponsors Mazda to create a centrepiece inspired by the Japanese firm's 'Soul in Motion' tagline.

The 2015 Goodwood sculpture was based around the theme of "Flat Out and Fearless: Racing on the Edge". The towering design featured 720 metal beams twirling 40 metres upwards, not entirely dissimilar to the double-helix structure of DNA. At the top was Mazda's legendary rotary-engined 787B Le Mans racer, and the LM55 Gran Turismo Vision concept. The whole feature was said to weigh 120 tonnes. Read more here...
