While the looks may be somewhat derivative, the Q3 is one of Audi’s biggest sellers so the brand playing it safe in the styling department is understandable.

Behind the wheel the Q3 is among the best in the small SUV class to drive. Ride comfort has been much improved in the latest car and while it may not be as fun to drive as a BMW X1, the Q3 offers great refinement and there’s a good range of petrol and diesel engines.
