New SEAT Geneva-bound SUV concept teased
SEAT teases a new concept heading to next week's Geneva show, previewing brand's new SUV line-up

SEAT has released a subtle teaser image of a new concept car that we'll see at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and it's likely to form the basis of the firm's long-awaited range of SUVs. A Nissan Qashqai rival looks set to go on sale in 2016, based on the current Leon hatchback, with two other SUVs set to follow.
The Spanish firm is keeping any additional details under wraps after uploading the teaser image onto its Twitter account. There's little doubt to us that this will be a more production-ready version of one of the crossovers we've known about for some time.

A previous Auto Express rendering of the SEAT SUV shows how it may look, with the firm's family face and sharp lines beefed-up for a more rugged appearance. Company boss Jurgen Stackmann revealed to us last year the plans to have three SUVs join the lineup in the next few years.
Stackmann told us SEAT will become a Ibiza, Leon and SUV company with a fourth pillar made up of Mii, Toledo and Alhambra. He revealed there was no financial motivation to return to the shrinking saloon market. This mid-size SEAT crossover will debut first, but eventually we'll see a more compact Renault Captur rival and a larger, possibly seven-seat SUV to take on the Hyundai Santa Fe.
We'll have the full story on the 3rd of March when the wraps will come off the concept full in Geneva.
