New VW business packs for Caddy, Transporter and Crafter vans

Volkswagen has confirmed new spec packs for three of its vans, adding business-friendly features for less money

The Volkswagen Caddy, Transporter and Crafter vans are to receive “high value” business-oriented spec packs following a consultation with customers.

To be showcased at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham in April, the packs will give “businesses large and small” the opportunity to add features often selected by commercial vehicle buyers for less than they would cost individually.

Volkswagen also says residual values will increase by £450 on vans specced with business packs.

Available on the panel and kombi versions of the Caddy, applying the business pack to Startline models will add an alarm, rear parking sensors and air conditioning at a cost £950 (excluding VAT). This represents a saving of £520 overall.

Priced from £14,155, Startline models already feature city emergency braking, a five-inch infotainment screen, a leather steering wheel, and electric windows and mirrors.

Meanwhile, business packs applied to the Transporter panel van introduce the same extras as the Caddy, plus a bulkhead, for £975. According to VW, this translates into a saving of £510.

Finally, the Crafter panel and chassis cab vans require £1,250 to spec the business pack, adding an alarm, front and rear parking sensors, and air con, as well as two folding keys and an overhead storage compartment. Again VW claims a large saving, this time totalling £1,320.

Business packs are available to order now ahead of their debut at next month’s CV Show, with first deliveries pencilled in for May.
