All-new version of Kia's 4x4 features more spacious interior and weighs 215kg less

These are the first officialpictures of Kia's new off-road star. The all-new seven-seater Sorento,just like the updated cee'd, will make it's European debut at theFrankfurt Motor Show next month.

Longer and lower than the model it replaces, the Sorento features a significantly more spacious and luxuriousinterior. But despite growing in size Kia's engineer's have achievedweight savings of up to 215kg over the outgoing car, thanks to annewly-developed monocoque bodyshell.

The best-selling engine inEurope is likely to be a 2.2-litre diesel with 194bhp and 421Nm oftorque. High-tech features include keyless entry, push-button start andan in-mirror reversing camera.

Full details and pricing will be revealed just before the Sorento goes on sale in the UK on February 1 2010.
