“This is my second Mazda 6. The car is fantastic value for money - put a BMW badge on it and the price would shoot up another £10,000.”

“I have been very happy with the Mazda 6 and I am always confident that it will get me to my destination with no reliability problems.”

Mr Phil Gibson - Cheadle

“Very nice, obviously popular from all the others I see around.”

Mr Gwen Puckrin - Harrogate

“Excellent, practical car that has plenty of performance and low running costs.”

Mr Roger Melville - Herts

“The Mazda 6 MPS is an understated performance package, at a `bargain' price, which never fails to give sheer driving pleasure every time it is used. Well equipped and appointed with good ride comfort and superb handling.”

Mr Michael Holt-Chasteauneuf - Lincs

“My last car was a Volvo 60 it was unreliable and the garage was rubbish, I've only put petrol in this car.”

Mr Phil Sheeter - London

“Looks good, drives well, is reliable, comfortable and safe. It also takes the whole family plus luggage in comfort, 3 of us over 6ft! It has been used for student removals, no troubles, handling still good. So it ticks all the right boxes.”

Mr Ian Miller - Towcester

Manufacturer Verdict (Position - 5th)

A brilliant top five position for one of Japan’'s top firms. Coming under the Ford umbrella, Mazda has finished a full 15 places ahead of its parent firm. Even more satisfying is that the one place gained in our chart has been at the expense of premium brand BMW. With a broad range and plenty of new models on the horizon, Mazda will be hoping to continue the upward trend in 2008.
