“I think my car does what I want it to do. It starts first time, it's comfortable, plus it's economical to run. It deals adequately with most conditions.”

“Prematurely aged, poor road handling. Wish we had never bought it!”

Mr Ewan Greig - West Lothian

“Generally a good car to use and in, brakes need renewing too often compared with other makes I have had.”

Linda Wood - Kent

“Very reliable with excellent customer service from dealer.”

Mr Malcolm Mason - West Yorks

“Extremely reliable - what you would expect of a Toyota. Ride over uneven surfaces not brilliant though and unfortunately I think the interior build quality has suffered a little since being made in the UK.”

Mr David Stokes - S Yorkshire

Manufacturer Verdict (Position - 8th)

Having celebrated the success of the flagship Lexus brand, Toyota bosses will also feel fairly smug about where their mainstream marque has charted. Firmly established in the top 10, Toyota has achieved above average ratings in each judging category. As the new Yaris and Auris models begin to make up the bulk of Toyota'’s UK sales, we will be keen to see if the firm can continue to scale the chart.
