The Ford Ka+ is not the epitome of style, but it does offer drivers impressive amounts of practicality, alongside a ride which is composed and relatively refined. Like its siblings in the rest of the Ford range it handles well, but that should come as no surprise as it is based on the old Fiesta, which was famed for its driving experience.

The only problem is the engine, which can be described as adequate. Unlike some budget cars, it is a five seater which when combined with its 270-litre boot, it should be up to the task of ferrying a family about town in reasonable comfort.
