New Hyundai i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition to cost £38,190

Drive-N Limited Edition specifications brings tweaks inside and out to Hyundai i30 N hot hatch

Hyundai’s new i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition has arrived as the ultimate iteration of the brand’s hot hatch. As its name suggests, there won’t be many of them – just 75 of the total 800 units will find their way to the UK.

The changes on the Drive-N Limited Edition are purely cosmetic, but there are plenty of them to set the Drive-N apart from the normal i30 N. The 19-inch forged alloy wheels are finished in dark bronze matte, the Hyundai badges have been blacked out and there are special Drive-N decals on the side, front and rear. There are also two choices of exterior paint – Phantom Black Pearl or a Drive-N-specific Serenity White Pearl.

The interior also has plenty of alterations, with each car receiving a numbered badge to signify its position within the run of 800 total units. We also see the steering wheel, gear lever, armrest and handbrake have been trimmed in Alcantara with red stitching, instead of leather. There are also exclusive Drive-N Limited Edition carpet mats that feature a unique Drive-N logo.

Safety systems not yet seen on i30 N models have also been added, with blind spot collision avoidance assist, rear collision avoidance assist and safe exit assist.

Hyundai stormed the hot hatch scene when it launched the i30 N in 2017 and thankfully it hasn’t messed around with the formula. The same 2.0 T-GDi powertrain from the standard car features, so power stands at 276bhp and 392Nm of torque. Hyundai’s three N performance functions, N Power Shift, N Grin Shift, and N Track Sense Shift all remain. There’s no manual offering here, so power is sent through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The new Hyundai i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition is on sale now and costs from £38,190 - a £2,120 premium over the standard DCT i30 N.
