This is the only mount we tested that also doubles as a protective case for the tablet. It comprises a simple Velcro strap to tie around a headrest, rather than a more sturdy structure, which puts it directly in line with the Snugg mount. Installing and removing the mount was easy, but we found the Griffin wasn’t able to grip our iPad Air as tightly as its main rival, and it’s bulkier with a full-sized iPad on board. Still, there’s good access to all of the iPad’s ports and holes, and even though you can’t alter the viewing angle, the Griffin is well worth considering as it comes with a case and a headrest mount, giving added protection from dirt and children’s sticky fingers.
