VIDEO: Jaguar racer built in 30 seconds

See the XKR racer on time lapse video being assembled before Le Mans.

From a production car to racing car in just 30 seconds. The Jaguar XKR is a fairly potent road car. But the racer is a different beast entirely. Built from the ground up as a GT2 car, it’s powered by a 5.0-litre V8 which produces over 550bhp and can hit 180mph thanks to the fact that it weighs just 1245kg.

The Jaguar is being run by American-based specialists RSR. The firm is owned by Paul Gentilozzi who will also be one of the drivers taking part in Le Mans this year.

The car is competing with assistance from Jaguar, which is celebrating its 75th year.
