Simoniz Car Shampoo Tabs

Price: £3.99 Rating: 3/5

“Chuck it in a bucket!” says the pack containing Simoniz’s new Car Shampoo Tabs.

So that’s exactly what we did.

There was no messing about with measuring caps – we just dropped the packet into a pail of warm water and let it fizz away.

It forms a dense, long-lasting foam, with one tablet providing a whole bucketful.

When we applied the solution to a dirty car, it easily lifted off summer grime.

Once it had been given time to dry, we were really impressed by the clean, smear-free finish.

Our only criticism was that it didn’t bead water especially well.

The car shampoo pack brings the convenience of domestic laundry tabs to the automotive world, and works well.

But you pay for the privilege – at 40p per bucket, the new Simoniz works out at twice the price of conventional rivals.
