Not only did we get frustrated by the Sakura Mesh Dog Guard’s fiddly set-up, it also left a lot to be desired when in place. Like the test-winning Halfords mesh guard, there’s one main panel with two extra pieces. But here, the side panels were held on by small plastic clips that often failed under stress. The mesh grille was small so it left gaps, the metal was flimsy and the guard wobbled when installed.
