This device is a wildcard here, as it’s a portable, recordable TV tuner that picks up Freeview and sends it via Wi-Fi to an Apple device. We placed it on our dash, extended the aerial and searched for it with our iPad, then booted up the free app to view channels and the programme guide. Signal and sound quality were excellent and, while pricey, it’s better than TV Catchup.
